MPS Candidate Forum Hosted by the African American Leadership Forum

This event aims to provide a fair and comprehensive platform for candidates running for the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) School Board in 2024 to present their views, answer questions, and engage with the community on the issues impacting Black student success and well-being. The Forum will ensure equal time for each candidate and cover key issues pertinent to MPS students and their families.   For the last year, the Forum has explored the state of Black education through its Dark Matter series and their policy entrepreneurship research and advocacy. Insights derived from this work that has engaged hundreds of students, parents, educators, community members and systems leaders will directly inform the topics of discussion for this forum.
